We would like to invite couples who are planning weddings as well as those baby boomers who are celebrating their retirement to hold their ceremonies in Aomori Prefecture. We recommend that you take advantage of travel opportunities throughout each of the charming seasons in Aomori.

Recently, the use of Aomori's sightseeing facilities to host original weddings can be seen on television and in local newspapers. Also, requests like this one have come in from all over the country: "Although, up until now I thought Aomori was too far away, I would now like to celebrate my retirement with a visit there, may I please have more information about the attractions." I believe we can offer a kind of "different from every -day" travel opportunity.

This year, the "Wedding With a View" project asked various tourist or sightseeing industry members within the prefecture to submit applications which describe the plans and services they offer. Of the 25 plans received, 13 have been accepted and are presented here.

You will be given the opportunity to use sightseeing facilities known throughout the country and can host your own personal ceremonies there. We are offering many plans within the prefecture which include different aspects of culture, specialty foods, and sightseeing events.

A variety of options, including year-round and seasonal plans, and others which focus on nature like the beach, flowers, snow, or mountains have been created. For people who are interested in designing an original wedding, commemorating an anniversary, or even children who want to celebrate their parents' retirement, we hope you will consider Aomori.
