Shibusawa Park in Komaki hot-spring

Komaki hot spring has five hotels and inns over an area of 200,000 tsubo. The hot spring is famous for its large and rocky open-air bath. In the park, there is the Museum of Folk Customs on Ogawara Lake and the restored residence of Eiichi Shibusawa.

There are various marshes scattered over the area and the mountains of North Hakkoda are reflected in the water. The area is covered with white flowers when the skunk cabbages are in full bloom at the beginning of June and water lilies in summer.

Oirase mountain stream

Ogawara Lake
 Misawa City, Tohoku Town, Kamikita Town and Rokkasho Village
Ogawara Lake is the eleventh largest lake in Japan and the biggest in Aomori Prefecture. Fishing for pond smelts and marine sports are very popular here and can be enjoyed in the beautiful natural landscape around the lake.

The road is lined with four rows of pine and cherry trees, and flowerbeds with various flowers blooming throughout the seasons. Along the sidewalks, there are statues of horses creating the impression of an outdoor gallery along with a small stream modeled after the Oirase mountain stream.
