Korekawa site
 Hachinohe City 
The Korekawa site is typical of remains that reflect the final days of the Jomon period and they are designated as a national historical site. Many artifacts about 3,000 years old have been excavated, including earthenware that resembles red-colored lacquer ware.

To get there it takes about 20 minutes by car from Hachinohe JR Station.

Kushihiki Hachimanguu Shrine
 Hachinohe City 
The current main hall of the shrine was built in 1648. The main shrine and the south gate are particularly solemn. They are designated as important cultural properties. There are two national treasures in the treasure house in the precincts of the shrine.

To get there it takes about 25 minutes by car from Hachinohe JR Station.

Enburi
 Hachinohe City 
Enburi is a traditional harvest festival. Male actors wearing the formal headwear of court nobles perform both heroic, dynamic dances and humorous dances.

Hachinohe-sansha grand festival
 Hachinohe City 
This spectacular festival has a history of more than 270 years. The way more than 20 floats are jointly paraded is magnificent. On the middle day of the festival, the traditional ritual called Kagamiryu-kibadakyu is gracefully performed with people on horseback bouncing a ball.

Nango summer jazz festival
 Nango Village 
The jazz festival is held with world-famous artists. It is the largest outdoor concert in Tohoku. It is held at the end of July.

To get there it takes about 40 minutes by car from Hachinohe JR Station.

Shoyoto (three-storied pagoda) in Hokoji Temple
 Nagawa Town 
Shoyoto is the highest three-storied pagoda in Japan. The pagoda is elegantly tasteful with a dense grove of Japanese cedars in the background.

To get there it takes about 50 minutes by car from Hachinohe JR Station, or 20 minutes by the Tohoku-honsen Line to Suwanotaira Station and 15 minutes by car from the station.

Tanesashi Coast and Kabu Island
 Hachinohe City and Hashikami Town 
The whole area of Kabu Island presents a wonderful view with tens of thousands of black-tailed gulls flying along the Tanesashi Coast where a vast area of natural turf makes a beautiful contrast with the sea.

To get there it takes about 25 minutes by car from Hachinohe JR Station, or 30 minutes by the Hachinohe Line to Tanesashi Station.
