In the Ken-nan area located along the boundary with Iwate Prefecture, the beauty of fresh green can be enjoyed first in Aomori Prefecture. There will be events held in the Hakkazan Hokoji Temple where cherry and peach blossoms will be out, Mt. Hashikami (Mt. Gagyu) that commands a panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean from about 740 meters above the sea, and Hachinohe Shimin-nomori on Mt. Narawazu. Mt. Nakui in harmony with the deep green of willows and Japanese oaks, and wild cherry blossoms and cherries are also a highlight.
